Swiper, No Swiping!

He’s not feeling good. It’s cold out. What better way to spend the night than sitting downstairs watching Dora the Explorer on DVD?

Side note: I’m starting to sense some recurring themes on this show.

  • They always have to get from Point A to Point B.
  • They always use that goofy Super Map guy to get the job done.
  • There’s some really um…grating songs on there.
  • That one Swiper guy always tries to steal Dora’s crap and whenever he’s foiled (which is all the time) he say’s “Awww…man!”

Anyway. It was a good night.

  1. Awww, that’s so sweet. :*)

  2. I hate Dora. Your kid is cute. Looks like you. Duh. I hate SpongeBob. Talk about grating sounds.

  3. I’m so glad we’re past the Dora stage. My niece is Dora crazy right now and it’s enough to drive ME crazy!

Unrelated, but I don’t have your email address. I was checking my bank balance online and see that Amazon took a small chunk from me. Guess that means I have some TKT literature on its way to me. Hope you got your copies…

DH – I absolutely hate how my dumb face looks in photos, but Travis definitely balances it out.

Steph – Yeah, Diego is much cooler…but barely. I think Travis does look like a good blend of Laura and myself. He’s got her eyes, for sure. I have to admit I like Spongebob, though. He’s such a little yellow turd.

Sniz – I’m not sure what they were thinking when they concepted Dora, but I guess it worked. That crazy bowl-cut headed girl is a cash cow!

Stephen – Funny thing. I actually added my e-mail address on the main page just yesterday. E-mail me to your heart’s content, brother. In other news: No sign of the books for TKT. Dang! I autographed 2 copies of the book for another ‘customer’ and haven’t even gotten mine. Nice!

  6. This entry made me go, “Awww!”

I have never seen Dora the Explorer. After your rundown of recurring themes, I am kinda glad. :)

  7. That’s a great picture of you and your kid! I also love the white attachment to the doorknob in the background that makes it kid-proof. Those days are behind us now, but it does take me back.
