Scaring Myself

It JUST started storming here in the great Midwest. I’m talking booming thunder, wicked lightning and hard rain pelting the window of my basement office. What better atmosphere to write the 2nd half of my fantasy/adventure/zombie fest GOODHALO?

It’s almost like nature decided to produce the ambiance just for me. I was just writing a wicked scene that (if they ever made this into a movie) would scare the bejesus out of people. Awesome!!!

Anyway, I’m really pleased with the discipline I’ve been forcing on myself. Not only am I maintaining my 5 times a week of working out, I’m sitting my butt in the chair every stinkin’ night to hammer this puppy out.

Yes, it’s coming fast n’ furious. Yes, it’ll need a lot of work when it’s done, but there’s definitely light at the end of the tunnel. As of this writing, I’m 64% done with this beast. By month’s end, I’ll have my 4th full-length novel done.

4 novels! Holy Hannah, Mother of Troy…who woulda thunk it?

The best part? I’ve got something to work on when this thing needs it’s rest before the big 2nd draft. It’s a brand-spanking new idea that has been bugging me to finish GOODHALO already so that I can get to work plotting out my next big project.

Ah…I’m not sure what my muse has been, but it’s been really good to me these past few months.

Crap. I gotta save my work before the power goes out.

Hasta la taco,
